Fishing areas: It is found in the waters of the eastern Atlantic Ocean, from the British Isles to the coast of northern Africa.
Color: Its body is blue, while the fins and belly are silvery-grey. Its dorsal part is covered with thin, black, and diagonal lines.
Length and weight: The mackerel can reach 40cm in length and weight up to 1kg, the most frequent is a length of around 30cm and the weight is around 250gr -350gr.
Product availability: Higher availability: March, April, and May. Medium availability: July, August. Lower availability: January, February, June September, October, November and December.
