TRIGLA LYRA

Shape: The body is robust and compact. The lateral line is well-defined. The head is big and covered with bones and plates. The mouth is wide and long. Is dorsal region is long and indented. The color of the body is reddish of pink and gets lighter toward the ventral part of the fish, which is light pink; on the sides there are darker wide bands.

Minimum size: 20 cm

Fat content: 3%-5%

Fishing areas: It lives in the eastern Atlantic, in the Mediterranean, and the Black Sea.
