Shape: The white bream has a narrow body. Its color is light or dark grey depending on the necessity for camouflage, with silvery highlights. The young fish have dark vertical bands on the sides that blur with age and disappear in the mature fish. It has a dozen bones in the dorsal fin and three bones in the anal fin. The tail fin has a black line.

Fishing areas: It lives in the Mediterranean sea, in the Atlantic ocean and the Cantabrian Sea.
Length: 18-45 cm.
